What is a fire risk assessment?

A fire risk assessment is not only essential for safeguarding a building but also a legal requirement. It involves a comprehensive review of the premises to assess potential fire risks. Based on the assessment findings, necessary recommendations are provided in a report to enhance fire safety measures and ensure the facility's overall safety.  Your report will cover:

  • The definition of management systems, standards, and procedures for fire safety throughout the premises.
  • The allocation of responsibilities and duties for fire risk assessment and management.
  • The allocation and definition of responsibilities and standards for the provision, installation, testing, and planned maintenance of fire safety equipment.
  • The allocation of responsibilities for the implementation of fire emergency plans including: evacuation procedures, first-on-scene firefighting procedures, how and when to contact the fire service, emergency coordination processes, and who is responsible for staff training.
